New products and industry connections across 14 product groups

Organiser Spielwarenmesse eG has announced new products and industry networking across 14 product groups for the 76th edition. If you are looking for toys, character products or play content, decide which product groups you want to compare and what you want to achieve in meetings. This is not a toy shopping event for general consumers, so plan around company discussions and product discovery rather than on-site purchases.

Check your trade visitor eligibility

The official guidance defines trade visitors as people who deal commercially in the exhibited products or work in related fields. This includes toy retailers and wholesalers, as well as event, PR, marketing and advertising agencies. Visitors are required to establish their professional connection through a business card or relevant business registration documents. Being an agency does not automatically make every visit eligible, so complete the organiser’s verification process when registering.

New directions in inclusive play and licensing

ToyTrends 2027 presents two themes at Entrance Mitte: ‘Beyond Limits’ and ‘License to Play’. The first explores participation in play across different ages and circumstances; the second looks at licensing that brings online characters and existing content into products. These are exhibition themes introduced by the organiser, rather than verified claims about particular products’ effects or sales results.

Toy Business Forum takes place in Hall 3A, with planned talks, discussions, live podcasts and programmes such as ToyPitches. Key topics include AI, sustainability, the adult hobby or ‘kidult’ market, licensing and distribution. Arrange company visits and forum sessions so that they do not overlap.

Ticket options and opening hours

There are three online ticket options. A one-day ticket for Tuesday to Friday costs €29, while a Saturday one-day ticket costs €18. The full-event ticket costs €55 and allows repeated admission over all five days. A €29 ticket not used by Friday can also be used for one admission on Saturday. All tickets are issued in the holder’s name and are non-transferable. There are no on-site ticket counters.

Opening hours are 09:00–18:00 from Tuesday to Friday and 09:00–14:00 on Saturday. All times are local to Nuremberg. Saturday is not a public day either, and visitors under 16 are not admitted. Infants aged six months or younger may enter when accompanied by an authorised participant.

Transport and sales conditions

On the dates shown on your ticket, you can use VGN regional public transport to travel to and from the venue. Check which trains and travel classes are included; do not assume that long-distance trains or the Munich Airport shuttle are free. Sales involving payment and the handover of products at the venue are prohibited, so distinguish the visit from a shopping trip. The official shop states that e-tickets cannot be exchanged or returned. Check the holder’s name and visiting dates before paying.
