Follow the galleries through a reconfigured showfloor
The organiser has redesigned the showfloor in response to feedback from exhibiting galleries and the Selection Committee. Alongside the main Galleries sector, Nova, Positions and Survey will present works from different periods and through different approaches. More than 30 galleries are taking part for the first time, offering opportunities to discover new names alongside familiar artists. To help find your way around the large exhibition, choose galleries of interest from the official exhibitor list before your visit.
Discover digital art in Generation
The digital art programme Zero 10 returns this year with a presentation titled Generation. Curated by Karen Archey with Eli Scheinman, it is planned to feature 19 projects by artists and collectives including Jon Rafman, Refik Anadol and Sarah Meyohas. Bringing physical and digital media together, the programme will be especially interesting for visitors curious about how technology changes images and experiences.
Enjoy free outdoor projects beyond the exhibition
Art Basel has announced plans to present new work by James Turrell outdoors, free to the public, together with the Turrell Art Foundation. In Collins Park, Public Art Fund is preparing Between Tides, a participatory exhibition comprising six artist-designed sculptural ping-pong tables. With works that visitors can touch and enjoy together, the exhibition adds another reason to step outside and explore the city. Further details of the schedule will be announced later, so check the official website for the latest news.
