Check which zone matches your participation
The Blue Zone, where formal negotiations and meetings take place, is for registered and accredited participants. General visitors should consult the host country’s Green Zone registration and programme. UNFCCC says the Green Zone is closed to general visitors during the Leaders’ Summit on November 11 and 12. Delegations should also note the announced closure of conference premises on November 15.
Confirm permitted recording equipment in advance
Wearables that record, transmit, transcribe, analyse or store information are prohibited in official meetings and designated areas. Accessibility or operational uses also require explicit approval from the UNFCCC secretariat. Prepare a list of devices and functions for advance enquiries.
Share the same guidance with participants and production teams
Recording in common areas such as lobbies and corridors must not disrupt meetings, movement or security. UNFCCC’s 2018 general recording guidance calls for prior consent from the people recorded and does not permit government or observer delegations to record official meetings. Separately accredited media should check the rules for their status. Share device lists, filming purposes and permissions with external production teams as well.
Follow your interests through the official platform
Registered participants are due to receive platform-access instructions by email. Use schedules, documents and available meeting content to prepare a personal plan. General visitors can choose subjects of interest from the Green Zone’s published programme and registration guidance.
