Record incorporation, the start of operations and name changes separately. Check that films, host scripts and display panels use consistent dates and wording. Use only the supported date detail or hold the claim.

When to use it

Use before producing anniversary films, speeches and displays. Record one fact per row and list every place it appears.

The company and history in the examples are fictional. Oral recollections or old publicity alone do not establish a legal incorporation date. Check permission to publish or reproduce source material separately.

When to use it

Complete after drafting the history, then compare the finished films, scripts and displays at delivery.

What to have ready

  • Original records for each organisational event
  • Records establishing the date, name at the time and what happened
  • Film timecodes, script pages, panel numbers and approval owners
  1. Record incorporation, the start of operations, listing and name changes as separate events.

  2. Check how precisely the sources establish the date and write within that detail.

  3. Record the wording version approved by the records and publication owners, together with every media location using it.

  4. After changing wording, recheck every use. Separate completed checks from positions still needing correction.

Check your completed template

  • The published event, name and date agree with the source evidence.
  • Every use of the fact matches the final approved wording.

What to pass to the next person

Use the same fact ID and wording version as records pass from records owner to content lead, film/design/script teams and final approver.

Check before using this template

Corporate, trademark and copyright questions need separate legal review. Confirming that a source exists and obtaining permission to publish it are separate tasks.
