- Use when table service overlaps awards, speeches or video. Agree with the banquet lead which tasks and zones can pause.
When to use it
Use when table service overlaps awards, speeches or video. Agree with the banquet lead which tasks and zones can pause.
Do not stop or restart service solely because the planned time has arrived. Food-service and safety leads must decide whether hot-food transport or other hazardous work can pause.

When to use it
Prepare when aligning the final programme and banquet service plan, then check during rehearsal.
What to have ready
- Minute-by-minute programme and awardee movement plan
- Service sequence, cart routes and assigned zones
- Contact methods for show caller, banquet captain and stage lead
Separate service tasks that can pause from those that must continue.
For each cue, record the hold requester and confirmer, then the resume condition, signal time and sender.
Rehearse the MC or video alternative to use if a confirmation is delayed.
Record the captain’s actual restart confirmation, time and zone separately from the resume signal. If not confirmed, record it as pending and follow up; share the same version.
