Event equipment electrical review and change log

Gather specifications and nameplates for the electrical reviewer, then compare the reviewed list with equipment delivered onsite. Record document receipt separately from circuit review and confirmation for use.

Use this for
Use for electrical review before procurement, equipment changes, and power-supply handover for build-up, open show and breakdown. It is not a distribution design or a storage-standard determination.

When to use it

Use for electrical review before procurement, equipment changes, and power-supply handover for build-up, open show and breakdown. It is not a distribution design or a storage-standard determination.

Do not size breakers, cables or circuits from summed wattage alone. Record checks by authorised, competent electrical personnel against the real installation and equipment. Distinguish approved supply from actual verification. Do not replace an unconfirmed finish with the scheduled time; record the venue owner and check deadline.

When to use it

Before electrical review submission and whenever delivered equipment changes.

What to have ready

  • Manufacturer, model, quantity and position schedule
  • Nameplate photos, manufacturer data and startup details
  • Venue supply information, distribution drawing and review reply
  • Required equipment start/finish and venue-approved supply for each phase
  • Night/breakdown outage contacts and evidence for alternative storage during gaps
  1. Give each item an ID and record the matching nameplate and specification files.

  2. Send normal operating conditions and power-up conditions separately to the electrical reviewer.

  3. Record which drawing version and equipment the reply covers.

  4. If the delivered model, quantity or position changes, give it a separate change ID. Obtain a new review and confirmation before use.

  5. For continuous-power equipment, use one row for build-up, open show and breakdown; distinguish required, approved and actually confirmed supply times.

  6. For gaps, record changed operation or alternative storage, transfer time and quality-lead confirmation; do not mark unapproved periods available.

Check your completed template

  • Every item has supporting specifications and a named responsible person.
  • Onsite changes have their own review result rather than being treated as covered by the old confirmation.
  • Each phase records required, approved and actual supply, night contacts and gap response.

What to pass to the next person

The technical PM sends the pack to the venue electrical lead and distributes the returned version to installation and operations leads.
