This year's theme: diversity beyond boundaries

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources and organised by the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, this year's event explores the theme 'Design Spectrum, Beyond Borders'. Across different fields, the changes that design creates share common ground. As you explore the exhibition, you may find a useful idea in a field far removed from your own work.

Four keywords: Code, Log, Typology and AX

Four keywords connect the exhibition and international conference: Code (grammar), Log (records), Typology (types) and AX (transformation). Explore how new technologies are changing the design process, what stories objects hold, and what new types are emerging in spaces and products. Choosing one keyword to follow can give your visit a clearer focus.

Hear the ideas in depth at the international conference on 26 November

The DK × SDF International Conference takes place from 10:00 to 17:40 on 26 November in Grand Conference Room 401 on the fourth floor of COEX. International speakers include Vizcom's Jordan Taylor, Snøhetta's Emily Yan and French designer Erwan Bouroullec. Four sessions, along with morning and afternoon panel discussions, offer a chance to hear the thinking behind the work you see in the exhibition. The conference is on a different floor from the exhibition, so allow time to move between them when planning your day.

Choose a ticket that makes the most of your budget

The standard exhibition ticket costs KRW 15,000, with an early-bird price of KRW 10,000 for purchases through 18 November. Groups purchasing at least 10 tickets pay KRW 8,000 per ticket. The international conference costs KRW 220,000 at the standard rate, with an early-bird price of KRW 170,000 during October. Groups of at least 10 people can also attend for KRW 170,000 per person. Be sure to check what the integrated pass includes on the purchase page.

Make the most of the exhibition through its final day

The exhibition is open from 10:30 to 18:30 on 25–28 November and closes at 17:00 on its final day, 29 November. Admission ends one hour before closing, so arrive in good time. Design professionals can get more out of both the exhibition and talks by noting their interests and questions in advance.
