- Use one row per photo so the original and delivered copy can be traced. Record photos with different usage terms separately, even if they come from the same supplier.
When to use it

Photos, creators and permission records are fictional. Entering metadata does not grant permission to use a photo. Check separate rights concerning depicted people, places and other content.

When to use it
Check before batch editing event information, after exporting files and whenever the intended publishing channel changes.
What to have ready
- Preserved originals, file-ID list and existing metadata
- Per-photo credit instructions and evidence of permission
- Fields and values selected in the common preset, plus the final delivery format
Record each file’s creator, publication credit, rights wording and permitted uses alongside the supporting record.
Select only fields intended for the batch edit. Check for selected empty fields and whether values will be appended or replaced before applying to working copies.
Compare values before and after editing. If information is erased or overwritten incorrectly, stop the batch, restore from originals and recheck affected files.
Reopen exports, compare them with the list and check web captions. Keep channels lacking permission on hold, separate from approved uses.

Sources used to develop this template
EVENTODIT created this template using the working methods described in the public sources below. It is not an official form and has not been reviewed or approved by those organisations.
- Adobe Bridge · Create and apply metadata templates
Adapted selected-empty-field risks and append/replace distinctions into working-copy comparison and restoration records; no actual product test is claimed.
- Adobe Bridge · Add metadata
Linked multi-file edits to an agreed common-field scope. Preservation and delivery reconciliation steps are original form design.
- IPTC · Photo Metadata User Guide
Adapted separate creator, credit, copyright and usage fields linked to supplier instructions. Fictional permissions are not real rights or standard contract terms.
