Discover inventive ramyun in the old downtown

Hosted and organised by Gumi City, the festival connects the area's ramyun production base, food culture and local shopping streets. The Korea Tourism Organization's information, updated on October 30, introduces programmes including Ramyun Restaurant, Freshly Fried Ramyun, Gat Land and the Global Ramyun Challenge. It is worth exploring both for visitors who want to compare different flavours and for professionals looking for content built around local ingredients and brands.

Check Ramyun Restaurant opening hours for your visiting day

Ramyun Restaurant opening hours are as follows.

DateOpening hours
November 611:00–21:00
November 710:00–21:00
November 810:00–19:00

Festival admission is free, while food is priced separately by menu item. Published examples include Maekom Ban Jjajang Ban at KRW 7,500 and Bantting at KRW 4,000. This does not mean all ramyun costs the same, so check the menu before ordering.

To order, scan a QR code, choose your food, enter your mobile number and pay. Order and collection notifications are also sent to your phone. If QR ordering is difficult, you can use a kiosk; overseas cards can also be used at kiosks. Ramyun trucks take payment directly on site, so check the ordering method used by the outlet you plan to visit.

Make your own ramyun and enjoy evening performances

At the Ramyun Workshop, you can choose noodles, soup seasoning and toppings to create your own ramyun. Other activities include Soup LAB, where you can mix ingredients, a self-cooking zone and a ramyun-themed art workshop. Participation methods and fees may vary by activity, so check the programme guidance before visiting.

Performances continue into the evening. A public broadcast of Sing to You starts at 6:30 p.m. on November 6, and Ssaeng Ramyun Stage begins at 7 p.m. on November 7. These are the start times of individual performances, rather than the opening hours of the whole festival.

Intercity shuttles from Seoul, Busan and Daegu

In an October 12 press release, Gumi City announced plans for seven Kakao T shuttle routes departing from Seoul Station, Jamsil Station, Sadang Station, Daegu, Busan, Daejeon and Gwangju. Round-trip fares, paid by passengers, are KRW 59,000 from Seoul, KRW 45,000 from Busan and KRW 25,000 from Daegu.

Actual operation depends on demand for each route. Before choosing your transport, check Kakao T for services from your departure point on your visiting day, and plan your return time as well. Compare the departure and arrival points carefully so you do not confuse these services with separate local shuttles running around the festival area.

Plan your visit

Decide whether food, activities or performances are your priority, then locate the Ramyun Restaurant and activity spaces on the official site map to make your route easier to plan. Allow extra travel time if you also want to explore the local shopping streets. For enquiries, contact the Gumi Ramyun Festival operations office at 054-480-2651–3 or gumi_ramyun@naver.com.
